After last year’s online-only annual festival open call, the fifteenth edition of the Rovinj Photodays returns to Rovinj in 2022.
The festival was launched in 2008 and quickly became one of the most comprehensive photo festivals in Southeast Europe. Each edition includes an annual open call, a series of travelling exhibitions throughout the year in collaboration with cultural institutions and galleries, and a festival finale in May. This year-round project is supported by many cultural institutions and organizations, as well as several key sponsors.
This year Dejan Sluga, the director and chief curator of Photon Gallery, is the chairman of the jury committee. To find out more about the festival and to view the entry guidelines, click here. The deadline for entering the open call is 22 February 2022 and the winners and finalists in all categories will be announced in March 2022. The main prize for the festival winner is a solo exhibition at Photon Gallery Vienna in 2023.
