Paris Photo is the most important photography fair in the world and this year Photon Gallery is participating for the third time with a solo presentation by Jošt Dolinšek in the Curiosa section. This section presents a selection of 15 young photographers who „demonstrate an original approach to the medium of photography“. This section is curated by Shoair Mavlian, the director of Photoworks, an international platform dedicated to photographers who are at the beginning of their careers. Curiosa’s elite selection will also receive additional media attention. Therefore, we at Photon Gallery are delighted to have selected Jošt Dolinšek for this important presentation, whom we have been supporting intensively for two years in the early stages of his career.
Jošt Dolinšek (1997, Slovenia) is a visual artist primarily interested in art photography. In 2020, he earned a BA in psychology at the University of Ljubljana. He mainly works on long-term projects, exploring the visual experience of the environment and his relation to it. He is interested in various approaches to photographic art, combining it with other media, such as sound and installation.
