The images from the Traces cycle were created in the mid-90s. The author is searching for the soul of Istria in these photographs and finds it in the details of the region from where she hails from. Here, the depicted landscape is marked by minimal traces of human presence and essentially maintains its elemental essence. Sky, soil, rock, and water found in these photographs simply exist in their rudimentary presence; principally there is no dramatization in these images, which is usually very common in most landscape photography.
