Memory Lab: Photography Challenges History
Curatorial team consisting of representatives of eight European photo festivals (Athens, Berlin, Bratislava, Budapest, Ljubljana, Luxembourg, Paris, Vienna), including Photon’s curators Miha Colner and Dejan Sluga, conceived and conducted a common project, a publication and series of exhibitions. The project focuses on the critical analysis of big European conflicts throughout the 20th century as well as their far-reaching consequences.
The Memory Lab: Photography Challenges History project displays and addresses 43 photographers and artists including Marko Lipuš and Borut Peterlin, the artists represented by Photon. They were both shown at he exhibition in Budapest, while Lipuš was also displayed in Berlin. Also, Slovenian artist Marija Mojca Pungerčartakes part at the Memory Lab exhibition in frames of Eyes On: Monat der Fotografie festival at MUSA (Vienna).
