Houses, buildings, connurbations; the subject of this project is modern, so-called ‘popular’ housing projects with some of the most awful examples built in the north of Italy, such as ‘Rozzol Melara’ in Trieste and ‘le Lavatrici’ in Genoa. The images are frightening, the colours unreal, the geometry is deformed and the levels are blurred; if the starting point is this unattractive architecture, the end is to illustrate the alienation, restlessness and dissatisfaction of living on the edge.
