Nataša Segulin

Nataša Segulin (Koper, Slovenia) was born in Koper, Slovenia, and graduated from the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana in 1973. She has worked as a member of the editorial staff, journalist and editor, and for the last twelve years as editor-in-chief at TV Koper-Capodistria (TV Slovenija). During her studies in art history and her subsequent work as an art and culture journalist, she became interested in photography. Following current events with a camera, editing, writing news and features, organising shows and, of course, visiting various exhibitions provided Nataša with plenty of creative inspiration and were crucial in shaping her artistic vision, which she was only able to fully pursue later in life in 2011. Travelling with her partner, archaeologist and photographer Slavko Ciglenečki, was also a great inspiration, as were the archaeological expeditions to remote and hidden Roman sites on three continents. The internationally acclaimed artist and photographer Diana Lui (Galerija Fotografija Gallery, Ljubljana 2013) also had a major influence on her approach to photography. she published her first photo book Lumen in 2019. She is a member of the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies.
