Zuzana Pustaiová
Zuzana Pustaiová (1990, Levice, Slovakia), is a member of a younger generation of photographers and a Fine Arts PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. She started her artistic endeavours with painting, yet she soon switched to photography. She touches upon the conventions of different roles within the family unit as well as in society. With wit, humour and irony she thus unveils various cultural stereotypes concerning gender, age, tradition and social inclusion.
Since 2013 her work was exhibited in several solo exhibitions in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as a few other European cities. She also had a solo exhibition in November 2019 at Photon Gallery Vienna. She won 1st place at the Photodays Rovinj in 2018 with her series Faces of Family. She currently lives and works in Bratislava.
